The DAAD is an association of German universities based in Bonn and Berlin. There are DAAD Regional Offices in 15 countries. The DAAD network includes more than 50 information centres on all continents. In the Czech Republic the DAAD is active since 1963. In 2000 there was an Information Centre in Prague founded.

The DAAD IC Prague provides information about study and research opportunities in Germany and about the DAAD’s funding and scholarship programmes. It also offers advice on starting a degree programme or planning a research stay in Germany.
